Wish Me Luck

Today is the last day of babysitting my sister’s kids, and actually, it wasn’t nearly as frightening as I had orginally thought. They are pretty good little ones, and are so into video games and TV that is wasn’t really a babysitting job as it was the job of remote control changer or finder of the Ninendo DS that was right here, but now cannot be found.

Tomorrow I am heading to Dunedin, Florida to visit my mother. Our flight leaves at 7:30 in the morning, which means I have to be at the airport at 6:00 a.m. with a baby that doesn’t usually get up until 8. Truly. Scary. Everyone keeps telling me, don’t worry, surely she’ll sleep in the car or on the plane. And to that I say, you obviously have not met Lucy “Grumpy Pants” Peters. If that child is not in her own bed with her own mobile and her own sound machine she refuses to even lay her head down.

So, wish me luck! I’ll write when I have access to the Interweb.
