I’m in love…

…with dancing in the snow late at night…

Dancing in the snow with @kuirishgirlie!

…and my new chalkboard wall…

The new chalkboard wall is done! Now I just need an artsy friend to come decorate it.

…and monkey bread…

The problem with making monkey bread is I seriously can't stop eating it. Bad decision.

…and tiny sugar plum fairies…

Final rehearsal for the big dance recital!

…and The Fonz…

Just got home from the longest day ever and the Fonz is on TV. Figures.

…and sparkly stars atop the Christmas tree…

Christmas tree is up. Now I need some spiked eggnog.

…and driveby sunsets…

Crossing into Kentucky. Finally relinquished the wheel. Happy to be a passenger.

…and my iPhone camera, that captures my life at a real time pace. All of these photos were taken with my phone and edited using one or more of the following Apps:

The Best Camera
Camera Bag
TiltShift Generator
Mill Colour
ShakeIt Photo

I know that (hatehatehate this word) blogging can be silly and dumb. I know people hate Twitter and Facebook and social media in general. But when I look back on the pictures I’ve posted or the words I’ve written, I’m so thankful for these platforms. They help me to remember. For me, it’s like a giant virtual scrapbook of my life. And without it, I’d forget all of the good times when the bad ones creep in, and I’m afraid I’d lose a piece of my soul.

And god knows I’d never actually scrapbook. Paper cuts are scarier then the aforementioned soul loss. And I’m not good with gluesticks.

I’m back, bitches.

Giving Thanks

Dude, my family is pretty. For reals. And also, they are amazing. Nothing but love, love, love. We had an amazing time in Tennessee, and I even played a game or two. I know, I thought the apocolypse was coming too, but it turns out games aren’t that bad. Sometimes. Unless they’re Scrabble.

P.S. Thanks to E. for letting me use her photos, and for taking the great ones of my little family. Besides being a lovely sister-in-law, she makes gorgeous jewelry. You should buy some!

Halloweenie

Although the inactivity on this site may make it seem like we’ve dropped off the face of the earth, it is truly the opposite. We’ve had so much going on around here I just haven’t had time to write about any of it. Until my work slows down I may be continually absent from the world of Crazybananas, but today I’m taking a break from real-life programming to share some photos of our Halloween, before it’s Christmas and I decide backtracking would just be silly. This year Lucy went as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, as every Kansas girl is forced to do at some point in their youth. She skipped around singing about the yellow brick road and the wonderful Wizard of Oz thru my work’s party, a school party and trick or treating at my sister’s house and our own. Turns out though, her favorite part of the day was handing out candy to all the ghouls that came to our front door.

All in all, it was a pretty fantastic holidy.

Do you ever wonder?

Do you ever think to yourself, “I wonder why Megan is always talking about rapping and breakdancing? She’s obviously not doing it out in public, right? Right?! Please tell me I’m right???!!!”

Again?!

Case closed.

Please don’t tell my mother about this.

P.S. Since this was at the American Royal (Kansas City’s world famous BBQ/Animal Show/Cowboy-fest) I believe I was dancing to country. For more American Royal pictures (less of me, more of the pretty people and random cowboy journalists), click here.

P.P.S. It’s official, I’ve become the laziest blogger of all time. They should take away my blogging license. But, aha! They cannot, because contrary to belief (or possibly reason) you don’t need a license to blog. Or to be an idiot. Or to breakdance in public. While cowboys stare at you. The end.
