So Lu’s at my office today
She came home from a fun weekend with Grammy more constipated then I’ve ever seen her. Her stomach is hard as rock, and we spent over 6 hours awake last night, rubbing her belly and cheering every time she farted. Ahhh, back to the life of a parent. I believe it was only a day ago I couldn’t wait for her to come back so I could stop all this galevanting around town and going to concerts with friends. What was I thinking?
Anywho, I wanted to write a huge post about the BREAKING NEWS on all of those fabulous cable news channels, the upcoming election, but some of the issues/debates/outright lies have made me so angry and ashamed I feel I need to wait until I have a few moments away from Finding Nemo and the crayons covering my office floor before I write anything. Until then, I’m posting this video from the Daily Show (which I’m sure you’ve all seen already, maybe while I was sitting in the bathroom at 2 a.m.).
Lord, I can’t wait for November.
UPDATED: OK, I am now sitting in my office, in the dark, listening to Vampire Weekend while my little girl sleeps behind my giant rolling chair. I am deathly afraid I will roll over her and she will never forgive me and I’ll have to pay for therapy deep in to her 20’s. In my earlier haste, I forgot to mention this weekend is the AMAZING, INCREDIBLE and best of all, FREE Rock the Vote Concert at the Kansas City Power & Light District. The show is 18+, starts at 2 p.m., and is headlined by The Wombats, Carolina Liar and Ludo, along with some great local bands and over 30 politicians who will be speaking. Come! It’ll be fun! AND IT’S FREE!!!!

Love you love you love you : )
Yay for farts?!
